gripe of the day: register.com is taking forever to make my DNS nameserver change! i'm annoyed. i'm now dealing with their customer service department and hopefully (keep your fingers crossed) the change will happen in the next day or two. argh.

pregnancy update: yesterday marked the first day of week 26. i can't tell if time is flying by or moving slowly. when i first got pregnant my sister told me, "it will be the longest nine months of your life." i think she was right. mike and i went to our monthly doctor's appointment on monday. for those of you who don't know, my ultrasound at 19 weeks revealed a low-lying placenta. usually it moves up and out of the way so it's not something to worry about that early. i had another ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and most of the placenta has moved except for a little piece. we're going to keep monitoring it with ultrasounds, but if it never moves far enough away from my cervix, i'll have to have a c-section. that would be a drag, but i'm putting my trust in my doctor. luckily, my mom will be out here for a month and she'll be a big help while i'm recovering. besides, my goal with this pregnancy is to end up with a healthy baby. how she gets out of my body is a minor point to me!

these are a few of my favorite things:

  • a clean kitchen
  • a newly-made bed
  • the feeling of knowing i did a job well done
  • reading a good book (currently reading: white oleander, by janet fitch)
  • eating a scrumptious and healthy dinner made by my wonderful husband
  • hearing a favorite song on the radio
