emily rose is here!

i went into labor wednesday morning, june 25. she made her entrance approximately 29 hours later on thursday, june 26 at 2:10 in the afternoon.

i'll get around to the details later, but i'll just say that it was about as good or as bad as i expected, depending on how i want to look at it. the pushing was the easiest part. she did most of the work of moving down the birth canal herself while i was passed out on my epidural. thanks, emily!

i have to give a shout out to hayward kaiser. the nurses, midwives, doctors, anesthesiologists, and support staff were WONDERFUL.
