baby update: tomorrow i'll be 19 weeks pregnant. time is flying! second pregnancies definitely move faster than first pregnancies. plus the move and my decorating and painting projects are helping to keep me busy. not to mention miss emily rose!

according to babycenter: Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the length of a small zucchini. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing six million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born.

decorating update: 6.5 rooms down, 1.5 rooms to go.

last weekend i finished painting the living room and started on my office, which i've decided to paint a pale green called water sprout. i was able to get the first coat done while emily napped on monday since mike was home from work. i also decided that the entryway and hallyway need painting, too. it feels too abrupt to me to go from one painted room into a white hallway then into another painted room. i decided that the hallway should be a pale warm yellow color and i bought the paint, a color called wickerware. i painted a few swatches on the wall and it is a great transition color. since i was able to accomplish so much last weekend, i don't think the addition of the hallway will push out my end date; i'm hoping to have all painting done this upcoming weekend.
